Our Expertise

A11yDesignPro is developed and maintained by a team of experienced web professionals, accessibility specialists, and front-end developers with over a decade of combined experience in creating accessible digital experiences.

A11yDesignPro started in 2023 when two developers, frustrated by the lack of simple, accurate tools, decided to build the solution themselves.

While our team is remote, A11yDesignPro is proudly headquartered at 2810 N Church St, Wilmington, DE 19802, United States. Our team includes:

  • Web Accessibility Specialists certified in WCAG 2.1 compliance and ARIA implementation.
  • Front-End Developers with expertise in semantic HTML, CSS, and JavaScript accessibility.
  • UX Designers focused on inclusive design principles and user-centered methodologies.
  • Quality Assurance Engineers specializing in automated and manual accessibility testing.

Our collective expertise spans major web technologies, accessibility standards, and regulatory compliance requirements including Section 508, ADA, and EN 301 549. We've worked with organizations ranging from startups to Fortune 500 companies to implement accessible design systems and ensure digital compliance.

Why Accessibility Matters

Web accessibility ensures that people with disabilities can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with web content. Color contrast is a critical aspect of accessibility, affecting millions of users worldwide who have visual impairments or color vision deficiencies.

According to the World Health Organization, approximately 2.2 billion people globally have a vision impairment or blindness. Additionally, an estimated 8% of men and 0.5% of women have some form of color vision deficiency. By ensuring proper color contrast ratios, we make digital content accessible to a significantly larger audience while also improving usability for all users.

Our Tools

Our Color Contrast Validator uses the official WCAG 2.1 algorithms to calculate contrast ratios and determine compliance levels. We provide instant feedback and detailed reports to help you create inclusive designs that meet international accessibility requirements.

All calculations are based on the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA and AAA standards, ensuring your designs meet both legal compliance requirements and best practices for inclusive design.
